Abstract
An observational assessment of pre-treatment family support moderated depressed adolescents’ response to Attachment-Based Family Therapy and Family-Enhanced Non-Directive Supportive Therapy. Adolescents with less cooperative and validating communication with their parents reported greater reductions in depressive symptoms over the course of treatment than adolescents with more cooperative interactions with their parents.
