Abstract
This study examined rape myth acceptance (RMA) among victims who viewed rape-evocative stimuli with a confederate who espoused either high or low RMA. Participants were female college students; half had been victimized. Results indicated victims of physical and sexual violence reported higher levels of rape myth acceptance than nonvictims.
