Abstract

This study uses heat mapping technology to examine the extent to which decision makers utilize information indicative of family responsibilities when evaluating LinkedIn profiles of candidates. It also examines work conditions under which decision makers are likely to reference family responsibilities information when determining candidates’ well-suitedness for the position.
