Abstract

The longitudinal relationship between openness and cognition was examined. Data from the Wisconsin Longitudinal Study was analyzed to determine if changes in openness predicted changes in cognition over time. Changes in openness did not significantly predict changes in cognition. Results suggest that openness and cognition are related but separate constructs.
