Abstract
We investigated how maximizing-satisficing relates to romantic relationship judgments. Both maximizers and satisficers rated their current partners high in mate value. However, maximizers (1) reported less commitment to their partner, (2) perceived alternatives to their partner as more viable options, and (3) viewed their relationship as less likely to last.
