Abstract

This study examines daily associations between adolescents’ prosocial behavior and mood, as well as the moderating role of depressive symptoms. Adolescents felt better on days that they helped close others, and prosocial behaviors were most strongly related to positive mood among adolescents with greater depressive symptoms.
