The Effect of Affect Primes’ Visibility on Effort-Related Cardiovascular Response Is Moderated By Gender

Abstract
Based on the IAPE model (Gendolla, 2012, 2015), we investigated the effect of affect primes’ visibility on effort-related cardiovascular response while controlling for the possible role of gender. Only for men, masked affect primes influenced effort, while visible primes did not.
