Symptoms of Stress and Depression Mediate the Relationship between Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Anxiety Symptoms

Abstract

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is a highly comorbid disorder that is associated with elevated symptoms of stress, depression, and anxiety. Multiple mediation analyses show that both depression and stress mediate the relationship between GAD and anxiety symptoms. Multiple mediation results and implications will be discussed.
