Abstract

Building on the stress and coping literature and using structural equation modelling, the current study found that adaptive cognitive emotion regulation (CER) strategies mediate the relationship between (i) self-efficacy and life satisfaction/depression and (ii) stress and life satisfaction, while maladaptive CER strategies mediate the relationships between stress and life satisfaction/depression/anxiety.
