Relationship Length and Strength: Characteristics Associated with Early, on-Time, and Continuing Mentoring Relationships in School-Based Mentoring Programs

Abstract
This study examined characteristics associated with early terminations, on-time closures, and continuing mentoring relationships, using data from a national evaluation of Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs. Results indicate that mentors in relationships that lasted beyond the required length of the program had significantly high program and relationship quality ratings.
