Abstract
We examined ethnicity as a moderator in the links between body image discrepancies and maladaptive eating and social physique anxiety among European, Latina, and Asian American undergraduates. Findings indicate ethnic minority status buffers against the negative effects of body image discrepancies on health that are otherwise harmful for European Americans.
