Abstract

This study examined factors contributing to individual differences in memory retrieval and verbal fluency. Participants were scored on fluency, originality (uniqueness of responses), working memory capacity (WMC), and crystallized intelligence (gC). Results suggest that WMC, gC, and originality are all important factors to consider when accounting for variations in fluency.
