Abstract

Enhanced features such as audio narration and finger-tracking animation were effective in directing preschoolers’ attention to print with no negative impact on comprehension. Children spent significantly more time reading enhanced e-books compared to silent e-books and also during animation phase compared to post-animation phase, controlling for individual reading abilities.
