What Cognitive and Personality Factors Predict Creative Performance on a Real-World Design Challenge?

Abstract
What factors predict creative idea generation on an ecologically valid design challenge involving urban gardening? Contrasting the predictive power of 13 creativity, individual difference, and task-related variables revealed that the strongest contributors were intellect (openness facet), industriousness (conscientiousness facet), originality on alternative uses and incomplete figures tasks, and gardening knowledge.
