Abstract

We investigated familial resemblance in romantic attachment avoidance and anxiety. In four studies, we acquired emerging adults as our original participants and then surveyed their family members. With 212 mother-son/daughter pairs, 157 father-son/daughter pairs, and 195 sibling pairs, we found little to no resemblance in romantic attachment scores.
