Abstract

Two studies investigated whether and how explicit and implicit brand preferences affect legal judgments. After reading case materials on a patent infringement, participants made legal judgments. Results of both studies indicated that they could make judgments primarily based on evidentiary strength regardless of their explicit and implicit biases
