Incivility and Burnout: Organizational Justice and Civility Norms As Moderators

Abstract

Work incivility has negative consequences towards individuals, such as burnout. However, negative consequences can be buffered by the perceptions of norms and how fair the organization is. Results of our study suggest a three-way interaction between incivility experiences, civility norms, and organizational justice on the negative consequence of burnout.
