Abstract

Different components of inhibition were investigated in pathological gambling. Patients exhibited an impaired motor response inhibition with respect to matched healthy controls. In contrast, patients showed a preserved ability to inhibit interfering memories. Investigating inhibitory functions can be useful to better characterize different psychopathologies whose diagnostic categorization is still debated.
