On Hold: Relationships in the Age of Computer Mediated Communication

This survey study included measures of individual differences and questions about online and in-person communication in five close relationships. External locus of control predicted higher self-reported cellphone use and cellphone dependence, as well as lower life satisfaction and well-being. In-person communication predicted higher relationship quality.
