Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore associations between specific parenting styles and perfectionism in western (US) and non-western (Middle Eastern) samples. Findings revealed similar patterns of association between parenting and perfectionism for both samples, but there were several cultural differences regarding parental expectations, self-oriented perfectionism, and neglectful parenting.
