Abstract

This study examined the relationship between spirituality and an individual’s susceptibility to pseudo-profound reasoning (i.e., profound statements with no actual meaning). Overall, higher levels of spirituality were associated with higher levels of PPR. Additionally, spirituality was positively associated with endorsements of mundane statements (i.e., Confucian style phrases).
