Relationships Among Big-Five Traits, Liking, and Student Evaluations of Teaching

Assessed relationships among FFM traits, liking, and student evaluations (SETs). Factor analysis produced two SET factors (Professionalism, Student Orientation). Extroversion, Conscientiousness and liking predicted Professionalism. Agreeableness and liking predicted Student Orientation. Openness, Professionalism and Student Orientation predicted liking. Results show theoretically meaningful relationships, and support calls for brief SETs.
