Abstract

Studies have reported improvements in the well-being of individuals through exposure to pet therapy programs. This meta-analysis investigated the efficacy of pet therapy as a method for reducing physiological stress levels (blood pressure and heart rate) and subjective stress and anxiety scores (self-reported stress/anxiety).
