Animations Can Reduce the Effect of Stereotype Threat When Learning Science.

Abstract

While the presence of relevant animations can positively impact science comprehension, does this facilitation extend to other aspects of learning? In this experiment, participants that were placed under stereotype threat experienced less negative outcomes when they read a science text that included relevant animations, versus one that contained no images.
