Abstract

Data from the Parents and Children Together (PACT) study demonstrates that electronic tablet-based video recording in an ebook application provides researchers with a more naturalistic setting to observe parent-child book reading interactions than is possible with the home visitation method. This method is unobtrusive, decreases lab bias, and is scalable.
