Worry and Working Memory: Considering the Role of Estradiol

Abstract

Estradiol was examined as a moderator of the relationship between worry and working memory. Results demonstrated that worry was related to poorer working memory performance when estradiol was high but not when estradiol was low. High estradiol may exacerbate worry’s interference of working memory function.
