Abstract

The Disappointing Gift Task (DGT) has been used to operationalize children's emotion regulation. This study assessed the DGT's stability and validity as a measure. Longitudinal DGT assessments and adults' reports of internalizing/externalizing reports at age three and age six suggest modest consistency, and external and predictive validity.
