Abstract

This study examined the association between future orientation and pain symptomatology, and the potential role of self-compassion as a mediator of this relationship. Results indicated that future orientation was negatively correlated with pain symptomatology, and that isolation was the only facet of self-compassion found to fully mediate this relationship.
