Abstract

This study investigated the relationship between the perception of personal resources and academic achievement in students living at/above or below the U.S. poverty threshold. Results from a multi-group structural equation model indicated that students in poverty relied more on drive whereas students living at/above the threshold relied on internal perceptions.
