Out and Anxious: Older Lesbians and Gay Men

We ran a hierarchical linear regression to analyze the relationships between shame due to heterosexism(b=.31,p<.001), self-esteem(b=.04,p=.613), self-blame(b=.41,p<.001) and how they correlate with state anxiety, which accounted for 48.5% of variance. The sample consisted of 50 lesbians and 50 gay men over the age of 50 in Dallas/Fort Worth.
