Abstract

Results supported the hypothesis that students with higher levels of misconceptions (HLM) hold a less scientific conceptualization of psychology than other students. Students with HLM used “therapy”, “help”, “mind”, “unconscious”, and “psychoanalysis”. Although students with lower levels of misconceptions used “therapy”, “help”, and “mind” they also used “health,” and “science”.
