Risk in Early Family Environment Associated with Higher Levels of IL-6 and Negative Affect

Abstract
Early family environmental risk was associated with higher levels of circulating IL-6 in a college student sample. Independent of age, gender, BMI and positive affect, this relationship was partially accounted for by higher negative affect levels when raised in adverse childhood family environment.
