Abstract

Using data from Project Achieve (N=784), we examined the role of demographics, parent beliefs, and special education status in predicting parent-teacher relationship strength. Parent acculturation and parents' beliefs about children's capacity for educational attainment significantly and consistently predict parent and/or teacher ratings of relationship strength for grades one through three.
