Adolescent Dating Violence Perpetration, Resistance to Negative Peer Pressure, and General Antisocial Behavior

Adolescents’ resistance to negative peer pressure, as measured in virtual reality simulations, predicted self-reports of sexual and physical dating violence perpetration at a 2-month follow-up, controlling for earlier dating violence perpetration. General antisocial behavior mediated this longitudinal association, controlling for baseline levels of antisocial behavior.
