Abstract
We examined the effectiveness of crowdsourcing in face-to-face and internet chat groups while solving problems from the Cognitive Reflection Test. Increasing group size led to greater problem-solving ability in internet chat groups, but not in face-to-face groups. Results suggest that computer-mediated-communication leads to more efficient problem-solving.
