Abstract

We examined the connection between suicidal thoughts, consequent affect, and attempt history in patients with and without borderline personality disorder (BPD). Analysis results indicated patients with BPD reported stronger anxiety and fear after imagining suicide than patients without, but no group differences were found for feelings of relief or calm.
