Abstract

Boys relatively benefit more from family resources (e.g., parental support for autonomy) in reaching their identified status of purpose development, while girls are relatively fostered more through both peer resources (e.g., peer attachment) and school resources (e.g., classroom belongingness) in developing their sense of purpose.
