Abstract

We examined the link between teacher and student self-efficacy across 16 nations. We found that the relationship between teacher and student self-efficacy is mediated by teaching practices. Cultural values moderated the role of teaching practices on self-efficacy between nations. These results broaden our understanding of self-efficacy in a culturally-relevant manner.
