Abstract

This research (N = 383) examines income and interpersonally experienced dehumanization in predicting two fundamental aspects of happiness: emotional well-being (day-to-day, experienced positive emotion) and life-evaluation (a person’s assessment of his/her life as a whole). Analysis suggests that experienced dehumanization is more potent than income in predicting emotional well-being.
