Abstract

Optimism is an important predictor of adaptive coping and mental health outcomes across many contexts. The present study examined the benefits and mechanisms of optimism in American Adults with Type 1 Diabetes. Using structural equation modeling, optimism was found to be a robust predictor of perceived health, coping, and well-being.
