The Effect of Therapy Dogs on Arousal and Memory

Abstract

Therapy dogs reduce stress but have mixed effects on cognition. This study aims to clarify these effects by examining the relationship between stress, positive arousal, dog interaction, and memory by having participants study and test either with a therapy dog present or absent.
