Abstract
Social support from friends was found to account for the lower levels of IMT associated with positive affect. Interpersonal skills training may improve individuals' ability to develop friendships and engagement in pleasant activities with friends, which may maximize prevention efforts and/or attenuation of CVD risk to promote health and longevity.
