Price Premium of Girl Scout Cookies for Charity

Abstract
We conducted a field experiment and found that subjects were willing to pay a higher price for cookies randomly presented to them as girl scout cookies for charity than cookies sold on behalf of a local bakery. This price premium varies by socioeconomic characteristics but not big five personality traits.
