Abstract

Numeracy plays an important role in decision making. Two studies investigated the associations of numeracy in college students with their specific symbolic math skills (for integers versus fractions) and nonsymbolic numerical competences (for numerical quantities versus ratios) and found evidence for associations with the former but not with the latter.
