Abstract
Research suggests that anxious individuals show difficulty disengaging attention from threat. We investigated this relationship using a temporal dynamics approach that examined disengagement from social threat over time (256 trials). Results demonstrate initial difficulty disengaging attention from both angry and disapproving facial stimuli as a function of social anxiety.
