Gender Differences in Rumination Trajectories from Childhood to Adolescence

Abstract
The present study examined whether males and females differ in rumination trajectories from age 9 to 12 in a sample of 481 youth. Results indicate that rumination remained stable for females but decreased over time in males. Further work should consider potential mechanisms of gender differences in rumination trajectories.
