Abstract

Social media has become imperative for adolescents. We hypothesize that high social media use will be associated with diminished ability to regulate distressed emotions. High levels of social media usage amongst adolescents with mood symptoms were associated with diminished ability to regulate emotions (F=4.61,p<.05).
