Abstract
We examined gender differences in acceptance of aggressive provocation and retaliatory violence. The results show that most people find that retaliatory violence unacceptable. However, violent retaliation done in self-defense is more acceptable. In general, women were less accepting of aggressive provocation and retaliatory violence than men.
