Abstract

Symptom expression, severity, and frequency may underlie some of the sex differences observed in PTSD. Our study aims to characterize these differences in previously deployed Veterans. We found that men and women differed in pre-deployment intrusion and avoidance symptoms. Furthermore, early life trauma impacted symptoms in men but not women.
