Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the gender differences of coping mechanisms (i.e. problem-focused and emotion focused coping) in a depressed sample. Overall, there were no significant gender differences in coping mechanisms. This implies that gender differences of coping mechanisms have been decreasing over time.
